Mi Solar Festival

A week, not a weekend, and everything sits in one price: seven nights, all meals, drinks and cocktails until midnight, every party, the workshops and entry to the concert. Bootcamps are the only thing charged separately. There is a party every day and usually two. A welcome party on arrival night, a beach party on the Thursday, pool parties on the Friday and Monday, a slides party on the Sunday afternoon, and the Tuesday given over entirely to the pool and the beach before the goodbye party. Classes run late morning so that the afternoons and nights belong to the water and the dance floor. The programme is Cuban rather than generically Latin. The Thursday opens with a son cubano pre-party running into a Havana Vieja themed night, and the Saturday afternoon is a rumba party, which few beach festivals bother to programme. Two bootcamps run alongside, not included in the price: Yusimi Moya on Afro-Cuban movement and grounding, Royma Rodríguez on lady style, technique and musicality. Families are catered for deliberately, with under-twos free and children to twelve at half price. Tourist tax is charged on top at ten euros per room per night.
