The Miami Salsa Congress has run for twenty-six years, which makes it considerably older than the European festival circuit and one of the longest-running events of its kind anywhere.
Six days on Miami Beach across parties, workshops and concerts. The programme spans New York and LA styles alongside Cuban salsa and casino, so this is a broad congress rather than a Cuban weekend, and the Cuban content sits inside a much larger event.
Worth knowing if you are travelling from Europe: this is a different tradition from most of the festivals in this guide, with linear salsa at its centre rather than casino.
