Gaditaneando a lo Cubano
Rota, Spain
Cuban music and Latin rhythms in a small Atlantic town near Cádiz.

Gaditaneando a lo Cubano is held in Rota, a coastal town in the province of Cádiz, and returns for another year built around salsa, son and reparto, with Dominican and traditional bachata alongside.
The reparto billing is the thing to notice. It is the newest Cuban style and still uncommon on festival programmes outside Cuba, so naming it explicitly says something about how current the organisers intend to be.
Rota is on the Atlantic rather than the Mediterranean, which makes this one of the few Cuban events on that coast.

The event for lovers of Cuban culture is back for another year, where salsa, son, and reparto take center stage, though we’ll also feature Dominican and traditional bachata.
The description above is ours, written from this and from the festival’s own material. This is the organiser’s wording, unedited.
